During the PGCB that took place on Wednesday morning, the DraftKings went on and give a petition for an Interactive Gaming Operator License.
The DraftKings representative confirmed that they received approval from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board and they are pending a successful launch.
Tim Dent, the Chief Compliance Officer of DraftKings went on and issued out a statement;
“DraftKings appreciates the collaborative working relationship we have established with the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board and thanks to them for their thoughtful leadership in creating a consumer-focused, competitive iGaming market. We look forward to successfully completing the soft launch phase of the process and receiving our iGaming license so that we can be fully operational in Pennsylvania on May 1.”

This soft launch is planned from Wednesday 2-10 pm and on Thursday from 11-1 pm. However, DraftKings already dominate a robust online casino in New Jersey and they are under the Resort Atlantic City license. This was launched way back in December 2018.
